New years resolutions

quick post before I move onto Blackburn for day 2 of New Year Mess 2013 (last night was awesome, tonight's got a tough time on its hands beating that) anyway, to business:

It’s New Year’s EVE! and a happy 2013 to you all,
It’s the time of year we start setting “new year’s resolutions ” for ourselves;
“I want to be fitter”, “I want more money”, “I want to be happier”, ”I’ll drink less”, “I’ll eat more healthily”,  “I will get project x done”, “I’ll do better in school/college/uni” … “I will do more for other people”… oh, wait, not many (if any) of you will use that last one :’)

All you hear, day in, day out, is what people want for themselves! Well here’s what I want
from 2013;
I WANT people who are sick to be healed
I WANT children with no families to be adopted and loved
I WANT people to never have to worry about food, or shelter again
I WANT peace in the middle east
I WANT our armies to be DISBANDED
I WANT free will to be a real thing again
I WANT you all to wake up
But most of all, I WANT you SELFISH sons of bitches to START caring about YOUR fellow MAN!

WE are ALL of the SAME earth
WE ALL came from the SAME source
WE are ONE
Regardless of: Gender, sex, race, sexuality, religion, opinions, nationality and intelligence.
The sooner you people realize that the better this world will be.
Sincerely
A Misanthropist

sorry the qualaties crap

Okay, so, as many of you know i've been saying for a while now that we are all connected, i just couldn't find a way to put it into words anyone else would understand:

the entire universe is like this picture i've drawn each block, is a species, type of planet (rocky, gaseous, liquid (1 block = 1 subtype of planet (i.e all the gaseous ones made up of one type of gas, would be in one block, all other planets made up of a different type of gas, would be another block) , or just anything with mass in the universe. each block, could be split into separate blocks housing each individual entity within the categories (species planet etc.)

if just ONE block was to be removed from the picture (i.e one species, planet type etc.) did not exist, the picture wouldn't work, your eye would be drawn to that gap, and the rest of the image wouldn't make sense, it would barely be noticed, because your brain would focus on whats missing.

however, with all the blocks in place, the picture is just a confusing mismash of blocks, nothing grabs your attention more than anything else, not even the smaller or bigger blocks, your eye sees everything that is there, but doesn't differentiate between the blocks and the bigger picture, as without the blocks, there is no picture.

Without EVERY single block in place the picture falls apart, now, obviously species become extinct every day, but considering our planet (and many others) are relatively young, all the species on our planet would be on an outer block, meaning that if they were to disappear, the image would still "work" just not be as perfect as it was originally (i'm not saying the pictures perfect, but the universe would be, if we let it) , however, as i said, each block can be split into other blocks.

Imagine the image was the individual block for the human race, just blown up, while yes, people die every day, the blocks (or people) nearest to them will miss the missing block (as far as they're concerned the bigger picture no longer works, their universe has been thrown into a tail spin, and they learn to live without the missing block, but if anyone actually cared about their fellow man enough, they would see that the loss of one block is a TERRIBLE loss for the whole picture (i.e every life matters JUST as much as everyone else (thats right, none of you are special, from the rich of the rich, right down to that homeless guy you ignored in town)) more than the blocks further away however,  , as the connection is not as strong, however, there is still a connection, be it between two blocks on the opposite side of the picture (we'd know them as a stranger) they will still be connected some how, through many connections, they will each know someone, that knows someone else, that knows someone else, that knows someone else ... (this could go on forever (6 billion times would be the maximum (number of blocks in the human race block (yes, all races are in our block, we're ALL human, regardless of skin colour, gender, location, sexual orientation (a lot of you should learn that, because i think a lot have forgotten) but basically, everyone, given enough searching, would be able to find SOME connection to a perfect stranger

This connection means that, through peoples thoughts (where in we always exist, even after death) we can quiet easily have been "living" in close relation (inside someones head) with someone we've never met, however, many of you will say "yeah, but just because you've got some links somewhere doesn't mean 1 person has every thought about you and the complete stranger" and i agree, somewhere in the middle of these complete strangers will be someone thats never met, or even thought of either of them.

However, we have have to ask what it means to exist, is it just being physically here? or is it all the experiences that we've built up over the years, including the random people we've interacted with (help an old lady cross the road, let someone go ahead of you in line, hold the door open for someone, kill someone, hurt someone, insult someone etc.)?

if the later is true (which i believe it is) EVERY single person has HUNDREDS if not potentially THOUSANDS of other connections inside their head, most of them you don't even realize are there, because you've consciously forgotten them within seconds of the interaction, but your subconscious never forgets, it is always gathering data and connections (ever been on the train and recognized an old lady you helped once? or just someone you accidentally bumped into in the supermarket? They're not at all important to your life, but your subconscious brain still has them logged.

Now, if we exist in someones brain because they think of us, that also means all the connections we made ALSO exist inside that persons brain (they're not even subconsciously aware of it, but their spirit is (hence why 2 close friends can easily become friends with the same person in a different environment, only to discover they have their close friend in common) so its not TOO much of a leap to imagine that if all our connections live on in other peoples thoughts, that somewhere along the line we're all going to have a connection SOMEWHERE (albeit a TINY one) to one another

Don't expect any of you to understand the words haha but the picture is pretty

I've said it before and i'll say it again

THE ICELANDIC REVOLUTION HAS NOT BEEN TELEVISED!

Yesterday, the 28th of December 2012 history was made:

Welding, the CEO of Glitnir bank, Iceland, was sentenced by the reykjavik district court, for a total
of 9 months with 6 months suspended sentence, this is the FIRST (of many to come) international bankers
to be arrested for their fraudulent crimes (if by now you don't know that the banks are corrupt, and lie
and actually OWN the government (not the other way round as a lot of idiots used to believe) and are
actually owned by the Rothschild family, you should probably give up hope of ever escaping the system)

Requested were five and a half years' imprisonment on him, and five years in prison over Gudmund Hjaltasyni, former. Director of Corporate Finance. Gudmund received the same sentence and Welding.

Lara and Gudmunder had been accused of lending mile stone 102 million, which, as you all know, (seen as £1 = £10 of lending potential for the back) this money was worth at least 1 billion in market lending on the 8h of Feb 2008 (my source says it was worth 10 billion, but my past knowledge disagrees). This loan was given WITHOUT any collateral and guarantees (basically, no way of securing the loan, and no definite plan of paying it back)

The Prosecution of the case stated that the main hearing was to PROVE that Gudmund and Lara had violated the rules of the loan, and prove that they abused their position of power within the bank and this would become a serious case, this unauthorized lending of vast resources would lead to risk of financial loss for the bank, and now, the biggest part of the loan is lost.

This was kicked off by the GENERAL PUBLIC saying ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
and this revolution IS NOT BEING SHOWN ON THE NEWS IN ENGLAND OR THE US!
why?
Because they don't want us to get ideas!
ICELAND HAVE PROVED IT CAN BE DONE!
NOW ITS OUR TURN!

The cost to tax payers of your "War On Drugs"

there are an estimated 50k - 75k (for sake of minimization all figures are calculated off 50k ) people in British prisons due to their involvement in cannabis this makes up approximately 58.77% of the total British prison population in 2010 (85,000 inmates) , it costs the British tax payer £41,000 PER YEAR to house ONE inmate, this means that of the £36'285'000'000 ( thirty-six billion two hundred eighty-five million) every year of YOUR taxes, a WHOPPING £2'050'000'000 (two billion fifty million) is spent keeping people who have: been caught with cannabis, been caught dealing cannabis, (obviously a lot will have other charges as well) locked up because they are seen as a "danger" to society. This is £32.72 per year for every inhabitant of the United Kingdom (assuming everyone pays taxes, which they don't) that goes to keeping cannabis users locked up

Not only is the war on drugs pointless, and failing, (many people still choosing to use the "real thing" despite the availability of many "legal highs" that mimic the effects of most narcotics) it is a MASSIVE drain on the tax payers, just in keeping the ones that were caught off the streets,

This is before you consider the money spent on the man hours spent trying to track down and arrest these "dangerous criminals"

the whole reason why the drug trade has BECOME such a dangerous and seedy industry is because the government won't take responsibility for it.
If recreational drugs were to be legalized, they could be controlled and the purity of the drugs will be constant country wide (i.e, no rat poison cut with coke, no sprayed weed, no heroin cut with god knows what) also, it would give the government the ability to TAX these products, creating a new source of income. (which i, personally am against, but the government are always looking to make money off us some how)

Just stating the facts no one seems to know

Talk to frank makes me angry

Was scouring the internet for treatments of cancer for my oncology module for 2013 and stumbled onto a website called "talk to frank" which is a website that supposedly "discusses" the effects of narcotics and is supposed to be there to educate young people on drugs:
its bullshit like this that makes this country ignorant about narcotics:
http://www.talktofrank.com/faq/what-long-term-damage-does-cannabis-cause

here are the truths behind the lies on that one page:

1) cannabis will only increase your likelihood of developing schizophrenia if you're genetically predisposed to it (i.e it runs in your family) other than that, it is actually proven to help protect brain cells, increase their number, and will help you forget adverse memories (such as in PTSD)

2) while yes when you're stoned you can lack motivation, this doesn't last, as soon as the effects wear off your motivation will return, and why is this? because its pure mind set, cannabis will effect you in WHATEVER WAY YOU EXPECT, if you expect to have a bad experience, you will, if you expect it to make you sleepy, it will, if you expect it to just calm you down, relax you and focus your mind, guess what? it'll do that too! Cannabis affects EVERYONE slightly differently, because everyone has a slightly different expectation of the narcotic.

3) this one makes me sick the most - CANNABIS REDUCES THE RISK OF CANCER! and PURE cannabis smoke is actually GOOD for asthma (in a joint, yes, you risk an attack (small risk) from the tobacco smoke, but how many asthmatics smoke normal cigs? my guess is a fair few (a good chunk of my mams family are asthmatic and most of them smoke at LEAST cigs) if you smoked it through a bong/vaporizer the smoke would actually REDUCE your symptoms, as the ecannabinoid system (how many of you knew that the body naturally produces cannabinoids? molecules of the same structure of THC (
delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis)  is used to CONTROL INFLAMMATION!

4) the only truth on the whole page, if you're smoking cannabis in a joint, yes there is tobacco, yes tobacco IS bad for you, but the filters in your cigarettes are MUCH worse for you than the tobacco itself (every time you drag on a filter, little bits of glass fiber break off and go into your lungs, causing lacerations, which either scar, or allow more tobacco carcinogens into the lung tissue, when these carcinogens are trapped inside by the healing process, the damage they can cause increases, as the bodies immune response struggles to detect it , causing a "broken glass" appearance on chest x-rays

Not saying everyone should smoke cannabis, but those that want to, providing it doesn't effect anyone, SHOULD be allowed, if someone makes an informed choice to sit in their room surrounded by smoke filling their body with chemicals, why does anyone have a right to stop them, just because its going to take money away from government?  We, as a country, let people pump themselves full of alcohol and nicotine legally, and these are 2 of the most harmful drugs known to man, so why not let people add a little bit of goodness to their system?

Aiming to educate on the real effects of Cannabis.

And, for the record, discussing the true effects/risks/legality of cannabis when compared to bullshit government propaganda is my academic and philosophical right, I think its plain wrong that the general public are allowed to be mislead so blatantly.

If cannabis and hemp were to be legalized world over, we'd sort this planet out SO quickly (although, i'd rather just hemp become legalized if that was the only option, we'd still fix the planet, but loads of people would still be taking man made chemicals as medicine which do more harm than good)

People go mad because they say i'm so skinny
I see what I used to be and think this is better

Thoughts?

Many uses of hemp

Hemp is one of the most useful plants on Earth.

For thousands of years, humans have used parts of the hemp plant for food, textiles, paper, fabric, and fuel. Today, processing technologies have  allowed us to “reformat” hemp and we are now able to create alternatives to gasoline, plastics and other petroleum products, and as hemp is a plant that can be grown and harvested in under 10 weeks, it is truly the god of renewable fuels.

The hemp plant is a renewable resource that can be produced domestically. It grows quickly, naturally resists plant diseases and requires little weeding, thrives in most climates, and enriches the soil it grows in.

Here are some of its most important applications:

Food and Nutrition
Hempseeds and hemp oil are packed full of nutrients. Hempseeds are an excellent source of protein, minerals, and dietary fibre. Hemp is the only plant that contains all of the essential fatty acids and amino acids required by the human body. These  nutrients affect a variety of body functions, including metabolism, the skin, mood, behaviour, the brain, and the heart.

Lots of people eat fish and take fish oil supplements (such as Cod liver oil) to access these essential fats, and as a result of which, many natural sources of fish have been depleted, leaving many of our seas void of certain species of fish, also, when fishing a lot of fishermen will drag nets across the sea floor destroying the local coral which has taken decades to grow (the quickest coral grows at 4.5 cm a year) These concerns have persuaded many people to switch to hemp as a form of nutrient supplementation.

As well as being great for humans, Hemp is also a great source of nutrients for animals, and some vets (probably not the ones looking to make big bucks off you, so not many ;) ) recommend using hemp seeds in the diets of pets and live In Europe, fishermen sprinkle hempseed on the water as an effective bait. When hempseed is included in bird seed, birds will pick it out of the mix as they prefer it over other seeds.

Body Care

As it has a high concentration of beneficial oils and has natural emollient properties, hemp is being seen more and more often in lotions, shampoos and many other skin, hair and cosmetic products, it is a superb alternative to the TOXIC chemicals that are found in many of the high streets lotions and cosmetics.

Paper
Due to its cellular structure being very similar to trees (it is a tree after all) Hemp is a perfect material to produce paper from, and better than that, you can grow a full field of hemp (for paper use) in about 3-4 months, as aposed to trees which can take 30 years or longer before they are suitable to be chopped down and broken down into the paper we right on, switching to hemp will SAVE the worlds’ forests from deforestation .

Hemp has been used to make paper for thousands of years; in fact the American declaration of independence was first drafted on hemp paper before being transferred onto animal skin parchment. It makes a highly fine quality paper that does not become yellow and brittle or disintegrate over time like normal paper.

Fabric, Textiles, and Rope

Hemp can be used to make a variety of fabrics, with similar structure and properties as cotton, with one difference; it is much more durable and will last longer than a modern day pair of denim jeans, many army uniforms were (and some still are) made from hemp due to their breathability and their durability. Hemp is also excellent for making rugs and other textiles. The word canvas comes from the Latin word for hemp.

The oldest known woven fabric was made from hemp, as were Levi Strauss' original denim jeans, and the first American flag. It was a common material for clothing until the cotton industry gained strength in America.

Hemp is the traditional rope making fibre due to its flexibility, strength, and resistance to water damage. In past centuries, hemp was extremely important to the Navy, the shipping trade, and fishing because it was used to make ropes, riggings, nets, and sails.

Fuel

Hemp oil was used in lamps for centuries, and was only phased out in the 1870s in America when the use of petroleum was introduced.

Today, hemp oil can be used to create biofuels to replace gasoline for diesel engines. And as the combustion of hemp fuel would not produce as many carbon monoxide molecules, and more CO2 molecules, which will be released into the air and taken in by growing plants (such as hemp for the next lot of fuel) it means the entire process of hemp as fuel is a complete carbon cycle, meaning there is very little to NO effect on the environment.

Plastic Alternatives

Modern plastics are made from fossil fuels (oils) using toxic chemicals, and in the current day and age, almost everything we buy is at least wrapped in plastic cellophane, even if manufacturers are moving towards more cardboard packaging, unfortunately, this cellophane is not recyclable, so where does it end up? In a land fill, many alternatives to plastics can be made from hemp oils.

In 1941, Henry Ford held a media event where he swung an axe at a prototype car body made of hemp and other plant material to prove its strength. The technology was never put into mass production, cars continued to be made of steel, and plastics made from petrochemicals became the norm, and why? Because the taxes on fossil fuels can be controlled easily, as not everyone can go out and grow their own petrol/ access their own metal, but anyone could grow a hemp field.

Fortunately, the number of available products made from hemp plastics is on the increase as awareness of the importance of developing sustainable alternatives grows.

Building Materials

Hemp based materials can replace wood and other materials used to build homes and other structures including foundations, walls, shingles, paneling, pipes, and paint.

The modern hemp building materials Hempcrete and Isochanvre are lightweight, waterproof, fireproof, self-insulating, and resistant to pests.

Hemp's Past and Future

So, if this wonderful plant is so useful and practical, why hasn’t everyone heard about it? And why isn’t it used en mass for products and energy? And that is because of 2 reasons, one, is a legitimate fear, but not of the general population, of the government, and the other, is a fear that’s been implanted so we stay away from this wonder plant.

Hemps latin name is “Cannabaceae Cannabis” which means it is the same plant as the cannabis plant that people world over smoke as medicine and recreationally as a psychoactive “drug” however, hemp can be grown in such a way that the THC (the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis) content is very low, actually, smoking hemp will do nothing for you but give you a bad headache!
So, to make it seem acceptable that hemp should be illegalized, a smear campaign in the 1930s was run called “reefer madness” a film that GROSSLY lies about the effects of Cannabis, it shows teenagers going crazy off the drug, and results in a death. And the smear campaign is STILL going, but with more “scientific” words thrown in to confused the closed minded idiotic general population, here are some true FACTS about psychoactive cannabis:

Smoking a “marijuana cigarette” (as they’re so lovingly called in the news) does NOT have more tar in than your average cigarette, when rolling a joint, LESS IS MORE on the tobacco, and many people (providing they have enough bud) will roll a joint with NO tobacco in at all.

Cannabis does NOT cause schizophrenia, however, if you are already genetically predisposed to have a mental issue such as schizophrenia, it DOES have a risk of EXCENUATING this problem, it WILL NOT CAUSE you to become schizophrenic.

YOU CANNOT DIE FROM CANNABIS – it is scientifically impossible to smoke enough cannabis to die, you cannot overdose on cannabis, you could sit and smoke it all day and still walk out the next day (you’d probably have one hell of a nap afterwards though!) it takes something like 37’000 times the amount of THC required to get someone high to be classed as a lethal dose

YOU CANNOT BECOME PHYSICALLY ADDICTED TO CANNABIS – Your body never REALLY builds up a physical tolerance to it, you CAN become psychologically addicted to cannabis (because your brain enjoys feeling high) but unlike tobacco, cocaine, meth, heroin etc. your body never feels like it needs it to survive.

If Hemp WAS to be legalized, the only damage it would do, would be to giant corporations such as oil companies, medicine companies, and paper companies, these 3 industries are in the top ten grossing industries in the world, if everyone started growing their own hemp and creating paper, oil and medicines, these companies would suffer a SEVERE drop in profits, and in turn, the government would not earn as much taxes from the industries.
Hemp is only illegal because of ONE use of this plant, and it has hundreds, if not THOUSANDS of other uses, if it turned out your favourite chocolate bar could be ground up and smoked to get high would you stop eating it?
