Mainly, because I've had nothing to post about, done nothing interesting, not really researched anything bar university stuff, but I have been watching people, and I've noticed something about my fellow human;
We are all supposed to be unique, this makes sense, even down to a molecular level, all our DNA is different, that's why no two people (Bar twins ) look exactly alike, however, we ALL have a different perspective of the world, someone in Australia experiences more sunshine than someone in England, someone in London experiences more of city life than someone from the lake district, BUT it goes much further, someone across the room from you, they're experiencing EXACTLY the same set of information and signals as you are, there's still the computer you're reading this post off, the floor beneath your feet, the pressures of the room, but from a slightly different angle.
Take this post for example, before you tell them about it, if they can't see the words on the screen, they don't even know it exists, as far as they're concerned, it DOESN'T exist, even if they've read the post, they might not know you are, does that mean the words don't exist at all for them? But yet they do exist for you?
(Does this mean for something to exist, a consciousness must be aware of it? And on that same rational, the MORE aware of something you are, the more it actually exists?)
Even someone sat next to you on a bus is experiencing the world at a SLIGHTLY different perspective to you, we never think about it, because everyone on the bus is seeing the bus, and the world going by, but they're not seeing the same world as you, in fact, we assume that what we're seeing is everything that can be seen, ignoring a few blind spots, but for all you know, the person next to you could be colour blind, or even blind, or deaf, or have heightened hearing, they're in a completely different world to you.
As a result of this, we all experience things differently, so, things will effect us all differently, resulting in 6 billion different worlds, effecting 6 billion different people in slightly different ways, which means that there should be 6 BILLION different mindsets in the world.
However, this isn't true, for some reason, people STRIVE to be the same, they want to have similar things to talk about, laugh at the same jokes, for some reason society has pushed us to want to be the same as the people around us, for if we have different views to the norm, we are ridiculed for them, seen in part with sports teams, if someone doesn't support the same team as you, you try and find flaws, hell, there are regular fights over sports, full on brawls, all because one person supports one team, and someone else supports another.
This is where racism stems from, because a certain person is different to you, people will reject them, prosecute them, INVADE them. But yet, as i started by explaining, we're all different, so where has this notion that people should be "Normal" come from?
If you live life trying to fit in with people, agreeing with their opinions, they will think you experience life EXACTLY (providing all your opinions match) they will barely notice you, as you're effectively another of themselves, does this, as already discussed, mean you barely exist?
It seems the only way to exist is to have your own opinions on things and stand by them through hell or high water, providing you have decent reasons (for the record "Because i say so" or "Its my opinion" is NOT always a good enough reason (infact, it rarely is, the only time "Its my opinion" works is in things that cannot be proved with facts (such as religion, or the creation of the universe) and "Because i say so" only works if you have genuine power over a persons actions (and its worth pointing out now, that parents, you might all THINK you're this powerful all knowing being in your kids lives, but at the end of the day, what you tell them NOT to do, at some point they WILL do it, you have NO control over your kids), facts and the interpretation thereof are often needed)
Post on cardiac tamponade will come as soon as the essay is written and submitted ;)
